Birds! (Nov 2016)

This year, we are happy to see Mourning Doves hanging around our bird feeders. We saw a couple off and on last year, but now we have a flock of 10 who are regular visitors!  Very exciting.  They are quite skiddish though, so when we open the front door, they all go whoosh whoosh whoosh into the trees with their whistling feathers.  It sounds quite cool!

I also noticed a new bird I had never seen before:  Evening Grosbeaks.  They are so vibrant!

Some of these photos are a bit fuzzy as we have condensation in our windows.

I just love their plumage!

My first Evening Grosbeak! I was very excited to see a new bird at our feeder!  They hung around for a few days (a flock of about 6-7).
